Events Manager


To work directly to the Senior Events Manager to ensure the successful delivery of all events across the Battersea Power Station (BPS) site. Specific focus includes internal  events, all private or commercial hires, resident’s events and the licensing of tenants in the Pop Up retail units. 


  • Assisting and supporting the Senior Events Manager
  • To support the Senior Events Manager in the strategic delivery of an Events Programme that contributes to and supports the overall BPS brand and event/entertainment strategies.
  • Coordinating venue management, preferred suppliers, contractors and equipment hire, staffing requirements and staff briefings; organising facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality and the media; identifying and securing speakers or special guests; planning room layouts and the entertainment programme; liaising with clients and designers to create a brand for the event and organising; troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly.
  • To work alongside the Senior Events Manger to compile and implement Event Management Processes and Systems to ensure events run smoothly and safely.
  • Working with the relevant parties secure planning and licensing permissions for Circus West Village.
  • Responsibility for Event Safety Management on events you are the Event Manager for and where possible be in a position to manage all smaller internal events without the need to hire a safety consultant by undertaking a relevant qualification.
  • Management and delivery of all events and promotional activities, ensuring all activations are within budget, on brand, and generating revenue.
  • Managing all private hire event enquires, venue scouting, event bookings.
  • Oversee the licences for the Retail Pop Ups, to include get in and get out of companies.
  • To oversee and deliver events in the Resident’s Lounge and to work with the Residential Team to ensure excellence.
  • Manage day to day relationships with external partners and stakeholders
  • Record all client event and financial information accurately on Delphi and pull reports for sales and enquiries;
  • Represent BPDSC with the highest standards in all conversations about the development
  • Completing the administration process for all confirmed activity including issuing contracts and liaising internally through weekly Operations meetings;
  • Work with the Senior Events Manager to ensure excellent financial management of the venue and to meet financial targets.
  • To provide an excellent and professional service;
  • Trouble shoot any issues in consultation with the Senior Events Manager;


  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Highly proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Mac
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven success in event delivery
  • Significant budget management experience and working with sales targets
  • Experience of producing documents to meet internal/external expectations

  • Manage all legal aspects regarding events, including licensing, contracts, H&S documentation ensuring insurance and legal obligations are adhered to
  • Deliver on preferred suppliers, including delivering a successful tender process, for CWV.
