Assistant Coffee House Manager




We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Coffee House Manager to join our company in this exciting time at Circus West, the first phase at the Battersea Power Station Development.


  • Provide and be the role model for outstanding customer experience
  • Share creativity, passion, enthusiasm and knowledge across business
  • Engage with all customers and consistently provide excellent customer service across all stations of the café
  • Responsible for supporting the Manager in the effective running of the cafe and ensuring that the team delivers an excellent customer experience that supports company’s core values
  • Support the Manager in Recruiting, training, motivating, developing and assessing talent to meet business needs
  • Support the Manager in ensuring all actual hours are noted and / or input onto the CWP on-line rota system to meet payroll deadlines
  • Working closely with the Manager to Be pro-active in your leadership and develop strong working relationships with your team and create an inspiring environment for them to grow and develop their skills
  • Support the Manager in ensuring compliance with all company policies (including but not limited to health and safety and hygiene review and record keeping)
  • Support the Manager in Identifying and resolving operational matters arising in running of the café
  • Work with the Manager to drive productivity and profitability by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce waste
  • In the absence of the Manager Reconcile delivery notes to supplier invoices and manage discrepancies
  • Work with the Manager to ensure building a strong network through specialty coffee industry and within local community
  • Monitor and discuss with the Manager / Management team developing trends within the specialty coffee industry to identify and develop new products and services
  • Support the Manager in monitoring stock control systems and order in line with café requirements
  • Other related activity as directed from time to time by your line manager including any delegated tasks in the absence of the Manager

  • Understanding of current coffee knowledge & market, production planning
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation
